Job Description
**Job Title: Clinical Nurse - CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse with a focus on Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, you will provide, delegate, supervise, and document care for patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. You will also participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals, ensuring the implementation of successful solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver compassionate and quality patient care in the CVOR setting. - Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. - Delegate and supervise nursing tasks, ensuring comprehensive documentation. - Foster effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. - Participate in problem-solving and developing strategies to meet patient goals. **Schedule:** - 13-week contract with a schedule of three days per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM). - Involves one night of call per week and two weekends within a six-week period. - Guaranteed hours: 40.00 hours per week. **Requirements:** - **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience. - **Licensure:** Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan. - **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. - Certification: Additional certifications in specialty areas are a plus. **Skills:** - Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Excellent communication skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
