**Job Title: Respiratory Therapist** **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (Every other weekend required; specific shift days to be discussed during the interview) **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. Working under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will provide vital life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients in both Intensive Care and General Practice Units. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, maintaining quality patient care, and effectively communicating with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other staff regarding patient needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver life-support and resuscitation therapies to patients effectively. - Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures as assigned. - Supervise and direct other Respiratory Therapists, orients, externs, and students as needed. - Maintain accurate documentation of all aspects of patient care and necessary billing information. - Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and ensure patient care needs are met. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** - Required: Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy. - **Licensure/Certification:** - Required: Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care and a current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan. - BLS certification is also required. - **Experience:** - Minimum of 1.5 years experience in ICU/Floor settings in respiratory therapy. - Preferred: NRP, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal experience, Cerner experience, and familiarity with Puritan 980, Hamilton Transport, Servo U machines. - **Skills:** - Competency in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Contract Details:** - Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 hours per week At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
