**Job Title:** Travel RN - Oncology - Blood Cancer Unit (Night Shift) **Location:** Denver, CO **Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00 **Contract Length:** 13 weeks (91 days) **Overview:** We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic Blood Cancer Unit specializing in oncology care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a team of experienced healthcare professionals in a positive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing treatment for blood cancers. **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 18 - **Staffing Levels:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse (no patient assignment), 3-5 RNs, 1 CNA - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse (no patient assignment), 3-5 RNs - **Patient Ratios:** 3-4 patients per RN - **Type of Equipment:** Telemetry, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Alaris PCA, EMR - Meditech **Required Skills:** - Compassionate care for the oncology patient population - Ability to quickly learn and adapt to unit protocols - Certification in chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred - Step-down experience is a plus, as standing orders are frequently used for fluid bolus and fever management **Typical Procedures:** - Lumbar punctures - Bone marrow biopsies (with and without conscious sedation) - Thoracentesis **Best Personality Fit:** Ideal candidates will display compassion, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient care.
