Job Description

**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Night Shift, working 3x12-hour shifts. The RN plays a pivotal role in delivering superior quality care in accordance with established nursing care plans. As a Charge Nurse, you will supervise licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants (NAs), and orientees, ensuring all patients receive the highest level of care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans. - Identify educational needs and goals concerning each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Provide timely patient information and status updates during Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences. - Maintain accurate, concise documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in accordance with policy. - Actively participate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide patient teaching in preparation for discharge. - Communicate significant changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care and safety. - Supervise and guide ancillary nursing personnel, fostering a team environment and assisting with decision-making and prioritization of tasks. - Ensure personal and environmental safety, adhering to hospital and nursing policies and safety guidelines. - Foster a positive work environment by providing support and guidance to staff, patients, and families. - Maintain communication with management regarding service needs, equipment, and clinical training requirements. - Assume charge responsibility after completing the orientation period when requested. - Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study initiatives. - Prioritize activities to effectively manage patient needs and optimize staff utilization. - Perform additional duties as requested. **Qualifications:** - BLS Certification Required - ACLS Certification Required - Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred - At least one year of charge nurse experience required --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
