**Job Title: Surgical Technologist** **Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients and maintaining the sterile environment required for surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in CABG, MVR, and AVR, along with CVOR experience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with established standards. - Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor situations to prevent breaches in aseptic practices. - Provide comfort and support to pre-operative patients while respecting their care and privacy. - Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and position them appropriately for each type of surgery. - Identify and care for biological specimens. - Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies specific to the surgical case. - Scrub in proficiently across multiple specialty areas, including but not limited to Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics. - Maintain an up-to-date and accurate preference card for surgical cases. - Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care. - Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions and facility policies regarding decontamination, sterilization, and sanitary practices. - Demonstrate clinical expertise in managing surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining the sterile field throughout the procedure. - Adapt care methods to meet the diverse physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients. **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Completion of a Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program. - Minimum of 2 years of surgical experience preferred. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only). - Certification as a Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting must be obtained within 180 days of graduation or possessing an active LVN/LPN license. **Work Schedule:** - Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
