**Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Telemetry** **Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM** **Contract Length: 13 Weeks** **Number of Positions Available: 1** **Location:** Mountain Ridge Medical Center **Unit Information:** - **Unit Type:** Surgical/Telemetry (616) - **Number of Beds:** 24 - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: Charge Nurse, 4-5 RNs, 2-3 PCTs - Night Shift: Charge Nurse, 4-5 RNs, 2 PCTs - **Patient Ratios:** 5:1 - **Type of Equipment:** Telemetry Monitoring, Post-Op Monitoring - **EMR System:** Meditech **Job Description:** We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the PCU/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing practices with a focus on telemetry care and surgical recovery. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and monitoring patients recovering from surgical procedures and catheterization lab interventions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced telemetry environment. - Monitor and manage patients post-operatively, including those with cardiac conditions. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate patient assessments and records using Meditech EMR. - Execute physician orders and administer medications as necessary. - Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols and guidelines. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license in good standing. - Required Certifications: ACLS (RN only), NIH (RN only), BLS (All). - Preferred: Experience in Cardiac/Telemetry care and/or surgical nursing. **Best Personality Fit:** We are looking for a friendly, outgoing team player who thrives in a high-volume setting with a capacity for multitasking.
