**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team for the Night Shift 3x12. The RN will maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is adhered to while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis for tailored care plans. - Identify patient and family teaching needs and collaborate with them and the interdisciplinary team to set appropriate goals. - Provide timely patient status updates and information at Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences. - Ensure accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments and interventions in the medical record according to established policies. - Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing the education of patients, families, and significant others based on identified healthcare needs. - Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission, preparing for successful transitions. - Communicate pertinent changes in patient status to other care providers to maintain continuity and safety in the care provided. - Mentor and supervise ancillary nursing personnel effectively, ensuring a collaborative and resourceful team environment. - Ensure personal and environmental safety, following guidelines to prevent risks such as slips, trips, falls, and exposure to infectious diseases. - Contribute positively to unit function by providing calm direction and support to staff, patients, and families. - Maintain open communication with management regarding supply needs, equipment repairs, and training requirements. - Assume charge responsibilities as needed, ensuring effective team management and patient care delivery. - Engage in professional development and pursue opportunities for continuing education and self-study. - Perform other related duties as required. **Qualifications:** - Current RN License (Required). - BLS Certification (Required) prior to the first shift. - ACLS Certification (Required for certain locations) prior to the first shift. - Minimum of two years bedside clinical experience (highly desired). - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety and quality care. - Encourages teamwork and maintains a positive work environment. - Resourceful and capable of overcoming challenges effectively. --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
