**Job Description: Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working in a variety of medical surgical telemetry units, including oncology, orthopedic, and urology care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while demonstrating expertise in telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry environment. - Monitor and document patients' vital signs and telemetry readings. - Utilize advanced monitoring equipment including IV pumps and bladder scanners. - Perform essential medical procedures such as blood draws from central lines and glucose monitoring. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. - Float between designated units as needed, accommodating ED HOLD patients. - Adhere to unit-specific protocols and procedures. - Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. **Qualifications:** - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a medical surgical setting. - Prior telemetry experience preferred. - AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred. - NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to starting. - Experience with EPIC documentation system within the past 2 years is necessary. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Schedule and Work Environment:** - Shift: 12-hour night shifts. - Every other weekend commitment required. - Must be able to adapt to rotating unit schedules and be available for holiday shifts as scheduled. **Patient Population:** - Care for patients aged 25 to 99 across multiple diagnoses, including medical-surgical oncology, orthopedic, and urology. **Additional Information:** - This position may require support for advanced procedures and assistance from ancillary staff. - Applicants should have reliable transportation, as public transport is not accessible in the area. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
