**Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse - 26-Week Contract** **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 26-week contract, extending through the holiday season. This position requires a commitment to work at least two 12-hour shifts per month, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). - Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and administer treatments in accordance with established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. - Maintain precise documentation of patient care activities and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. - Adhere to safety, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards to create a healing environment. **Qualifications:** - **Licensure:** Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State (NYS). - **Certifications:** - Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provided by the RQI system. - Basic Coronary Care certification to be completed within 6 months of hire. - Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification to be completed within 90 days of hire. - Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years of hire. - **Skills:** Ability to manage confidential information with discretion, and a strong capacity to work collaboratively in a professional and courteous manner. - **Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent communication, organizational skills, and computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records is preferred. **Patient Care Focus:** - Demonstrates the ability to provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring safety, dignity, respect, and overall well-being. **Behavior Characteristics:** - Capability to handle multiple priorities while enhancing the spirit of teamwork. **Position Details:** - **Shift Requirement:** Minimum of two 12-hour shifts monthly, with no guaranteed time off for the three major holidays. - **Contract Duration:** 26 weeks. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
