**Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** **Shift: Days (7a-7p) or Nights (7p-7a)** **Contract Length: 91 Weeks** **Job Location: Various Facilities** **Job Summary:** We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. The LPN will work collaboratively with residents and other healthcare providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment while delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide personalized care to residents in specialized units, including those dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as patients in transitional rehabilitation and long-term care. - Utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to interact effectively with residents exhibiting challenging behaviors. - Ensure proper delivery of skilled nursing services such as IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment. - Attend to the physical and emotional needs of residents, promoting a home-like atmosphere. - Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills. - Be flexible to work various shifts and float to other units as required to meet staffing needs. **Qualifications:** - Associate’s degree in Nursing or completion of a Maine State Board approved LPN course. - Valid State of Maine or compact Licensed Practical Nurse license is required. - 1-3 years of previous RN/LPN experience is preferred. - Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage. - A commitment to providing compassionate care to residents and their families. - Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 as required. **Equal Opportunity Employment:** We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
