**Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse** **Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM** **Location:** Cave Spring Freestanding Emergency Department, 2706 Ogden Road, Roanoke, Virginia **Unit Overview:** Join our dynamic team in a modern Freestanding Emergency Department featuring 8 beds and a skilled staff of 23 RNs, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a variety of medical emergencies. - Perform essential procedures including IV placements, EKGs, and medication mixing. - Ensure accurate scanning of medications for all patients and each administered medication. - Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. **Patient Ratios:** 1 RN to 4 patients **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Independent IV skills and EKG interpretation capabilities are a must for this role. - Strong assessment skills to evaluate patients efficiently. - Experience in Emergency Room settings is preferred. - Familiarity with mixing pharmacy drugs such as TPA and KCentra is advantageous. **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) **Additional Information:** - This position involves rotating weekend shifts with 3 weekend shifts every 4-week schedule. - Team players who are outgoing and capable of working independently will thrive in our environment. - Scrub color/attire: Navy or White. **Contract Details:** - Number of Positions: 1 - Guaranteed Hours: Full-time - Contract Duration: 91 weeks --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
