**Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM **Location:** CVICU, 3rd Floor Heart Tower **Unit Overview:** Join our dynamic 19-bed CVICU/CVRU unit that provides advanced heart care. We deliver surgical heart services, handling around 850 surgeries annually. Our unit offers a supportive environment with a low nurse-to-patient ratio (1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity), and we ensure safe patient care, including ECMO, Impellas, IABP, and LVADs. **Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality care to critical cardiac patients. - Collaborate with a highly trained team of clinical staff, including experienced charge nurses and an educator for comprehensive orientation. - Administer critical care treatments and monitor patient status using GE monitors and Cerner EMR. - Perform standard heart care procedures such as pulling chest tubes and pacer wires, and managing LVADs with team support. - Participate in rapid ambulation and recovery practices for post-surgical patients. - Ensure all nursing standards and unit policies are followed. **Qualifications:** - **Required:** - Current BLS and ACLS certification. - Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience. - Strong passion for cardiac surgical care. - Energetic and personable demeanor, embodying a life-long learning approach. - **Preferred:** - Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care. **Dress Code:** - Navy blue or white scrubs, nursing shoes. Hair must be off the shoulder, and fake nails are not permitted. **Floating Requirements:** - Flexibility to float to all ICUs and stepdown units as needed. **General Information:** - Nurses are expected to arrive for their shift a maximum of 7 minutes prior to the start time. - Overtime must be pre-approved by Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs). - Weekend shifts will be every other weekend. **Positions Available:** 2-4 **Contract Duration:** 91 weeks --- **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
