**Job Title: Night Shift Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** **Job Location:** [Insert Location] **Shift Details:** - Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) - Schedule: 13-week contract - Call Requirement: 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend **Unit Description:** Join our dynamic Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, providing couplet care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. The ideal candidate will assist with various procedures, provide exceptional patient care, and support nursing staff through floating to assist other units as needed. **Primary Responsibilities:** - Provide nursing care for patients in labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and assessing progress. - Assist with sterile speculum exams, breastfeeding support, and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. - Administer medications and therapies, including, but not limited to, Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain management techniques. - Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and utilize EPIC for medication documentation and communication. - Participate in discharge education for new parents and maintain high standards of care. **Required Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. - Must have traveled previously; first-time travelers will not be accepted. - Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP, and experience with EPIC charting system. - Strong skills in fetal monitoring, breastfeeding support, and postpartum care. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in maternal/child healthcare settings with knowledge of high-risk pregnancies. - Previous charge nurse experience is advantageous. **Patient Diagnoses:** Experience in managing patients undergoing labor and delivery and caring for mothers and newborns. **Orientation and Training:** Full orientation provided for all new hires, totaling 32 hours. **Dress Code:** Cecil blue hospital-issued scrubs (navy may also be worn). --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
