**Job Title: Emergency Room RN** **Shift:** Days 12 (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) **Contract Duration:** 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours **Contract Weeks:** 89 **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. With a focus on efficiency and teamwork, the Emergency Room RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for those presenting with critical and emergency conditions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients, including triage, assessment, and management of multiple patients simultaneously. - Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care and ensure timely treatment and coverage. - Maintain high standards of nursing practice in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. - Monitor and document patient status during emergency care procedures. - Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and post-discharge care plans. - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. - Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous learning. **Qualifications:** - A minimum of three (3) years of recent Emergency Department experience is required. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. - Previous travel nursing experience is required (completion of at least one contract assignment). - Experience in high-volume and fast-paced emergency settings preferred. - Current New Jersey License or Compact License is mandatory. - AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are essential. (Pending certifications or those expiring within 30 days of submission will not be accepted.) **Scheduling Requirements:** - Availability to work weekends (every other weekend or three weekends per month depending on needs) and no holiday shifts. - Request for time off (RTO) is limited to no more than three days. **First Day Instructions / Orientation:** Candidates must complete a full orientation without the option for rescheduling. Attendance at a virtual welcome meeting and required online HealthStream modules is mandatory.
