**Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse** **Shift: 19:00 - 07:00** **Location: Salem, VA** **Unit Type: Emergency Department** **Number of Beds: 27 | Staff: 50 RNs, 25 Medics** **Position Overview:** We are seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidates will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department. - Manage and prioritize multiple patient cases, maintaining patient ratios of 4-6:1. - Perform advanced medical procedures including RSI, Sepsis interventions, and Stroke protocol administration (tPA). - Collaborate with medical team members to arrange patient transfers and adhere to EMTALA regulations. - Care for patients presenting with psychiatric conditions. - Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using Meditech. **Qualifications:** - Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in high acuity, fast-paced emergency room settings. - Strong clinical skills with experience managing patient ratios of 5:1. - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
