**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU)** **Shift:** Night Shift (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:30) **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate is BLS, CPI, and ACLS certified and has a proven ability to manage complex cardiac patients. This role requires direct patient care, including proficient use and management of advanced cardiac devices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those requiring advanced therapies such as Impella, IABP, and LVAD. - Monitor and titrate medications including inotropes and vasopressors. - Manage anticoagulation, sedation, and other critical care protocols. - Perform advanced nursing procedures such as central line management, arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, and ECMO care. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy to deliver high-quality patient care. - Maintain accurate patient records through the Epic charting system. - Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest practices in cardiac care. **Qualifications:** - Active RN license (MD or Compact License required at time of submission). - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Cardiac ICU setting. - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:3 in critical care. - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and CCRN preferred (CPI certification must be from the approved online vendor). - Proven skills in managing ventilated patients and administering emergency medications. - Comfortable floating within the hospital as required. **Additional Information:** - Every other weekend and holiday commitment (one holiday off will be approved, but must work the others). - Must be able to provide two satisfactory professional references from recent employers: one supervisor/manager and one charge RN.
