7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required, 3 out of 6 holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on the patient's needs and identifies priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse develops, implements, and coordinates individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments and performs therapeutic nursing interventions while managing patient care and advocating for evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and determine care priorities.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Perform assessment based on patient problems and needs.
• Document care based on standards and patient acuity.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices in care standards.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.
• Strong MS/Tele background required.
• Required Certifications: NIHSS, Telemetry, BLS-AHA, CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours), NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
