Travel Operating Room RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts include 8-hour days from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM or 10-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with call required every 6 days including weekends.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for patient care in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works closely with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel to ensure quality patient care according to established standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
• Maintain timeliness of surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families.
• Update and manage physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ year of travel nursing experience required.
• 2 years of OR RN experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Floating required to pre-op and endoscopy units.
