Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night). Must be available for a minimum of every other weekend and maintain flexibility with scheduling.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department, ensuring that all needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in the emergency department.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to formulate and implement effective care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Educate patients and families on health management strategies and care plans.
• Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment in a dynamic environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department experience is required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Travel experience preferred, particularly from larger teaching facilities.
• Other certifications such as CEN, ENPC, MOAB, or ProAct are preferred.
