Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. On-call and weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will play a critical role in the surgical team within the General OR, performing various surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgery.
• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Support the surgical team during procedures, demonstrating knowledge of various surgical specialties.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout surgical processes.
• Participate in the debriefing post-surgery and assist with turnover between cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the OR, with a focus on Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics specialties.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Trauma Level II experience is required.
