Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to patients during childbirth and will work within the mother/baby unit as needed. The RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care for expectant mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fetal heart rates and provide support during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and IV fluids per established protocols.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care.
• Provide education and support to new parents regarding newborn care and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Maryland RN or compact license is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NCC C-EFM certifications must be in hand at the time of submission.
• 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
