Trauma Stepdown RN - Night Shift

Night shift 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), weekdays, and every other weekend required.

Job Description

Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional nursing care for multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients in a six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will hold experience in PCU, IMC, Trauma, or SDU and will focus primarily on adult and pediatric patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to trauma and surgical patients in a stepdown setting.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Float to floor beds when necessary, based on unit needs.
• Perform procedures including IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and level 1 trauma management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in a relevant specialty.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• WV or Compact RN license required (pending license acceptable).
• Documentation of a flu shot or medical exemption is mandatory.
