Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:30 - 08:00). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a busy maternity setting. This role involves working directly with obstetrical patients, assisting with deliveries, and providing necessary care and interventions during labor and postpartum.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Monitor and assess patient conditions through effective use of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active MD RN license (or compact license)
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Minimum of 1-year labor and delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
