Job Opening: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Shift Details

Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Facility Overview

The Emergency Department features:

• Capacity & Structure: 15 beds, plus 4 routinely used hall spaces
• Specialized areas including 2 "hall overflow" spaces and a dual-bay trauma room

Daily Census

Expected daily census ranges from 40-70 patients.

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:6.

Case Types

The position requires experience with the following:

• General ED cases
• Stabilization for stroke and myocardial infarction (MI)
• Trauma, psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric patients

Licensure and Certification Requirements

The following licenses and certifications are required for onboarding:

• Nursys License
• License/Certificate Verification

Checklist and Testing

For onboarding, the following items are mandatory:

• Bassett Core Competencies
• Bassett Unit Exam
• Bassett Skills Checklist

Personal Health History Requirements

To complete onboarding, candidates must provide:

• MMR
• Fit Test
• Hepatitis B Immunization
• Influenza Vaccine
• TB Test
• Varicella Immunization
• Annual TB Questionnaire
• Physical/Health Statement

Professional Requirements

Additional professional documentation needed includes:

• Driver's License/State ID
• 2 Professional References
