Job Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse

Location: City, State

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team for the Night 3x12-hour shift (19:00 - 07:00). This position focuses on cardiac patients and offers opportunities for growth and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients including acute coronary syndrome, pre and post cardiac catheterization, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including management of cardiac drips and IV insulin protocols.
  • Utilize telemetry monitoring and rapid response protocols effectively.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures, including management of central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care by collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare patients for and assist in post-operative care for procedures such as pacemaker and ICD placements.
  • Complete all required documentation and participate in regular patient assessments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Units (PCU).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Must possess EKG interpretation skills; passing a Pass/Fail EKG exam is mandatory prior to employment.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and a commitment to attend all shifts as scheduled.
  • Ability to float between all campuses as needed.
  • No upcoming vacations or scheduled time off that would interfere with compliance deadlines.

Schedule and Conditions:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week, on a night schedule (19:00 - 07:00).
  • Participation in weekend shifts (five weekend shifts every six weeks).
  • Orientation period includes additional training modules (non-billable).
  • Strict adherence to zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
