Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
    • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5 / 1:6 (dependent on level of care)
  • Type of Patients: Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care - medical surgical and/or step-down patients.
  • Average Length of Stay: Short stay (24-hour LOS) patients targeted to this unit.

Technology and Equipment

Telemetry monitoring is available; all patients are hardwired to bedside monitors. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Cerner.

Position Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Telemetry competency
  • Progressive Care experience

Preferred Skills

  • Recent progressive care experience

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be patient experience focused, and demonstrate kindness and compassion. A team player who works well with others is essential.

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Floating and Dress Code

Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. The dress code requires navy and/or white tops with navy bottoms or all white attire.

Work Schedule

The position requires availability for every other weekend, with no on-call duties.
