Job Description
CT Technologist - Evening Shift
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs CT procedures to acquire digital images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The individual plans and performs all CT procedures and post-processing using advanced technology based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems.
- Maintain knowledge to operate different CT systems at multiple locations.
- Ensure protocols are based on ImageGently guidelines and the integration of CT scanners with dose data compilation.
- Obtain CT images according to established protocols while ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, and safety measures.
- Perform CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacology and physiology to ensure quality scans under varying conditions.
- Interpret technical factors to enhance image quality and optimize the speed of scans.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Experience: Relevant clinical experience in CT imaging
- Skills: Communication, Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Equipment Management, Preceptor Skills, Radiation Safety, Radiology, Working Independently
