Job Opportunity: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

This position offers a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00. The role includes an every-other-weekend rotation along with holiday coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for night shifts. In this role, you will manage the care of acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients in a telemetry unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Cone Health facilities as required.
• Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
• Provide care for post-operative patients including general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and those with chronic illnesses.
• Administer IV medication drips such as Heparin.
• Utilize your skills in telemetry and monitoring of patients.
• Support patients with a range of diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal failure, diabetes, and more.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry environment.
• Previous Charge experience is a plus.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Mandatory BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in managing dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring required.
• Ability to float to different units as needed.

Compliance Requirements

• Candidate must successfully pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
• Compliance file must be submitted by the specified deadline.
• Education verification through a third party is required.
• Background check with no open cases accepted.
