Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Unit Information

Location: 13338 Tomball Parkway, Houston, TX 77086

• Number of Beds: 9
• Number of Staff: 2 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 4:1

Equipment Utilized

• Lucas Device
• Nurse-run Lab
• Ventilator
• CPAP/BiPap
• Blanketrol
• Lifepack 15
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of ER experience in main ER
• Experience working in a designated trauma facility
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC certifications

Preferred:

• Experience working in a Freestanding ER
• Paramedic License/Certification
• Experienced with running lab equipment (Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, Clinitek)

Typical Procedures Performed

• Chest Tubes Placement
• Intubations
• Conscious Sedations
• Wound Repair
• Splinting using Orthoglass
• Nebulizer Treatment
• Ventilator Management

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will thrive in a small crew environment, be proficient in team nursing, and effectively manage high-acuity patients with limited staff until transfers can be performed.

Schedule Requirements

Must work at least 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks.

• Guaranteed Hours: 1/1
• Contract Length: 91 weeks
