Float Pool Position

Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Join our Float Pool team and provide essential support across multiple healthcare facilities. Our Float Pool offers flexible staffing solutions, ensuring that each patient receives holistic care tailored to their needs. We seek adaptable professionals who can effectively handle a diverse patient load with minimal support across various units and facilities.

Unit Overview

• Bassett Medical Center - 180-bed teaching hospital offering acute care inpatient services and advanced outpatient diagnostics.
• A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta - 67-bed facility providing emergency, inpatient, and outpatient cardiology, cancer care, and imaging services.
• A.O. Fox Hospital Tri-Town Campus, Sidney - Emergency care facility equipped with full ER and laboratory services.
• O'Connor Hospital, Delhi - 23-bed critical access facility offering acute care medical/surgical and extended care.
• Little Falls Hospital - 25-bed hospital providing acute inpatient medical care, emergency services, and rehabilitation.
• Cobleskill Regional Hospital - Offers acute inpatient care, an ER, and short-stay rehab services.

Position Details

• Med/Tele Float Pool
  • Supports med/tele and med/surg units across facilities.
  • Requires ability to handle full patient care independently.
• ED/Med Tele Float Pool
  • Focus on med/tele units; may support emergency departments.
  • Prior med/tele experience preferred; ED experience is a bonus.
• Critical Care Float Pool
  • Supports stepdown and ICU areas across the network.
  • Strong background in critical care is required.

Position Expectations

• Floating Requirements: You will float between all six facilities as needed, requiring flexibility and adaptability to different patient care environments.
• Shift Notification: You will receive shift location details approximately two hours prior to your shift.
• Mid-Shift Floating: There may be a possibility of being floated mid-shift depending on operational needs.

Licensing Requirements

• Nursys Certification
• License/Certificate Verification
• Various health screenings and certifications upon onboarding

Contract Length

This position entails a contract of 89 weeks.
