Job Title: CT Technologist

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 8 PM - 6:30 AM EST, including holidays, on call and callback as per unit needs.

Job Description:

As a CT Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to department policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam details before initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians for accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ease anxiety.
• Insert IVs as necessary for examinations.
• Position patients for scans, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC, ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system upon completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation process).
• Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A patient and compassionate disposition.
• Ability to work as a team player while maintaining a cohesive environment.

Behavioral Characteristics:

• Level I Trauma Experience: Required (2 Years)
• CT Tech License (NY ONLY): Required
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY): Required
• Two (2) years experience: Required (2 Years)
• Siemens Scanner Experience: Required (6 Months)
• Epic Experience: Highly desired (1 Year)
