Job Opportunity: OR RN

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 3x12 hour day shift at a Level I trauma center. This facility features a high volume orthopedic, trauma, and spine OR with 11 operating rooms. The position requires experience in multiple surgical specialties and a commitment to patient care.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3 x 12 hour days (06:30 - 19:00)
• Ratios: 1:1
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-Call Requirements: Up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts (30 min recall)

Qualifications

• License: Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level 1 trauma center OR is required
• Specialty Experience: General, orthopedic, spine, trauma, neuro (specifically craniotomies)
• Floating Requirements: None
• First-timers accepted: Yes

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and circulating in diverse surgical specialties
• Ensure adherence to quality and patient safety standards during medication administration
• Maintain knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures to support surgical teams
• Be responsive to needs of the surgical team to facilitate smooth patient flow
