**Job Title: RN - Cardiac Care (12-Hour Days)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in cardiac care to join our dynamic team on the cardiac unit. The ideal candidate will manage patients with various cardiac conditions, including those requiring advanced interventions such as Balloon Pumps and Impella Pumps. This position requires flexibility with scheduling, including weekends. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med-Surg as needed based on census. - Monitor and assess patients; develop and implement nursing care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. - Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans. - Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols, including safety and infection control measures. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license in good standing. - Experience in cardiac care, including knowledge of Balloon Pumps and Impella Pumps, is required. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. - Prior pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. **Work Schedule:** - 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM). - Commitment to work 2 weekends per month, with potential for additional weekend coverage as unit needs require. **Floating Requirements:** - Nurses may be required to float to other units as necessary, including PCU and Med-Surg. **Patient Population:** - The unit specializes in treating adults, with occasional admissions of patients under 8 years requiring ICU level care. **Additional Information:** - Scrub colors required are navy blue, black, or charcoal gray. - Each traveler will receive a schedule based on the unit's needs, with no self-scheduling available. - Participation in holiday coverage is required (1 major and 1 minor holiday).
