**Job Title: Interventional Radiology Nurse** **Shift: Day Shift - 5x8 Hour Schedule (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM)** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with interventional radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care throughout the procedural continuum, including preprocedural, intraprocedural, and postprocedural phases. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough preprocedural assessments and provide patient education. - Monitor and manage patient status during procedures, ensuring vital signs and hemodynamic stability are maintained. - Provide postprocedural care, including recovery monitoring and detailed discharge instructions. - Rotate through various imaging suites, including CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound (US), and Interventional Radiology (IR), delivering procedural-based care. - Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the experience. - Administer moderate sedation and other medications as per established protocols. - Monitor sedation levels and respond to any changes in patient condition promptly. - Utilize advanced clinical judgment to identify complications and initiate emergency protocols as necessary. **Qualifications:** - A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience is required. - Current certifications in ACLS and BLS; PALS is preferred. - Proficiency in the EPIC charting system is essential. - Previous experience in a charge nurse role is preferred. - Experience in trauma care (Level I or II) is advantageous. - Travel nursing experience is required. **Skills Required:** - Strong skills in patient assessment and management. - Ability to perform procedures such as central line insertion, blood product administration, and chest tube placement. - Knowledge of advanced monitoring techniques, including hemodynamic monitoring. - Competency in administering medications safely, including antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, and sedation agents. - Proficiency in handling various medical technologies and equipment used in interventional procedures. **Additional Information:** - Candidates must be prepared to care for COVID-19 patients. - Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. - Availability for occasional holidays as needed, but no weekend or call requirements.
