**Job Title: Neurodiagnostic Technician** **Location:** Reno, NV **Shift:** Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technician to assist in complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological diseases. This position involves working with the central and peripheral nervous systems under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic Supervisor and Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologists. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform and assist with Neurodiagnostic examinations, including EEGs, Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring. - Prepare technical histories and assist in the application of electrodes based on physician orders. - Ensure integrity and safety of equipment, along with patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. - Maintain accurate records and files of Neurodiagnostic exams. - Act as a professional resource for staff, physicians, and allied health personnel. - Participate in ongoing education and training to keep current on technological advancements in the field. - Evaluate new instrumentation and biomedical equipment relevant to electrodiagnostic technology. - Schedule patients, assess their capability to tolerate examinations, and determine appropriate testing procedures and locations. **Qualifications:** - Required: - Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) certification or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T) certification, or Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT). - Current American Heart Association CPR certification or ability to attain it within 60 days of employment. - Minimum of two years clinical experience in a relevant department; three years of recent Hospital/Neurology experience preferred. - Additional Skills: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. - Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. **Work Environment:** - This role may require floating to different areas of the hospital as needed and may involve weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
