**Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Adults** **Location:** Reno, NV **Shift:** 3x12, Varied Shifts Weekly **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Call Requirements:** None **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team, providing exceptional respiratory care to patients across a range of ages and medical conditions. This role primarily focuses on adult critical care, general adult care, and pediatric general care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory care procedures as ordered by physicians to enhance the cardiopulmonary health of our patients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform respiratory therapy procedures following established protocols and physician orders. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to integrate respiratory care into overall patient management. - Document patient records accurately and maintain departmental logs. - Stay informed on the latest technological advancements in respiratory care. - Engage with patients and their families to assess and address their cognitive and psychosocial needs. - Provide care to Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients while meeting age-specific competencies. - Execute respiratory therapy interventions, including initiating CPR when necessary. **Qualifications:** - Current RRT and Nevada State License required (must have NV license in hand to apply). - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory. - Minimum of 2 years of acute care Respiratory Therapy experience. - Demonstrated ability to float to various departments, if required, based on organizational needs. - Flexibility to pick up an additional shift within the schedule period, as needed. **Work Environment:** The position requires engagement in a dynamic hospital setting where responsibilities may involve floating to different care areas and adapting to fluctuating department needs, including weekend and holiday shifts. **Additional Information:** This role involves continuous mental effort to ensure optimal and safe patient care.
