**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Job Description:** The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This role includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and new staff members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to establish an individualized care plan. - Identify patient/family teaching needs and goals based on assessment data, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. - Provide timely updates on patient information and status for team conferences, ensuring accurate and succinct documentation in the medical record per policy. - Actively participate in the rehabilitation program and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. - Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission to streamline care transitions. - Communicate significant changes in patient status among care providers to promote continuity of care. - Offer guidance, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing staff, utilizing problem-solving techniques and effective time management. - Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with nursing policies and procedures. - Foster a positive working environment through effective communication, team-building activities, and calm direction within the unit. - Maintain ongoing communication with management and senior staff regarding service needs, supplies, and clinical training. - Assume charge nurse responsibilities as required and participate in professional development through continuing education and self-study. - Prioritize activities for optimal resource management and patient care delivery. - Perform additional duties as assigned. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment - Commitment to maintaining patient safety and quality care **Qualifications:** - BLS Certification required prior to the first shift - ACLS required prior to the first shift (specific to certain locations) - Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience preferred --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
