**Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM **Location:** Salem, VA **Department:** Emergency Department **Number of Beds:** 27 **Staffing:** 50 RNs, 25 Medics **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As an ER RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively within a team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess and triage patients in the emergency department. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Perform procedures such as RSI, central line placement, and stroke protocol administration. - Manage a patient load with a typical ratio of 4-6 patients per nurse. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Provide care for a variety of acute conditions, including high acuity cases. - Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Meditech EMR. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. - Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments. - Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS preferred. - Proven ability to handle high-volume and fast-paced environments. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to provide compassionate care to patients, including those with psychiatric needs. **Work Schedule:** - No on-call required. - Weekend shifts include four weekend days (Friday or Saturday nights; Saturday or Sunday days) within a four-week scheduling period. **What We Offer:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
