**Job Description: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)** We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for night shifts, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of *recent* Med/Surg Telemetry experience and hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit. - Monitor patients' vital signs and continuous electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm analysis. - Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Communicate effectively with patients and their families, educating them on health management and recovery. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with documentation standards. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience. - Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state nursing license required at the time of submission. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Willingness to work every other holiday. **Assessment and Orientation:** - Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with acceptable scores required for continued employment. - The PBDS assessment requirement is waived. **Additional Information:** - Candidates will need to pick up their badge and complete onsite fingerprints at the facility before the start date. - Must adhere to all facility policies, including those regarding time-sensitive background checks. - Travelers may be expected to work occasionally in floating roles, depending on patient care needs.
