PT Physical Therapist

**Job Title: Physical Therapist – Days Only (Big Sky, MT)** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide exceptional physical therapy services in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves evaluating patients, establishing and implementing individualized plans of care, and delivering health and wellness education. **Key Responsibilities:** - Evaluate the physical and functional status of patients. - Develop and implement appropriate plans of care based on evaluation findings. - Document initial evaluations, progress notes, treatment strategies, and discharge summaries in accordance with established policies. - Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pain management strategies, safety, and tailored care plans. - Ensure patient safety and navigate any issues that arise to protect all parties involved. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. - Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Montana. - American Heart Association BLS certification required within one month of hire. - Completion of two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire is required. - Preferred: Two years of physical therapy experience. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Demonstrates excellent judgment and maintains a professional demeanor in all situations. - Capable of thriving in a busy and stressful work environment. - Proficient in learning and utilizing various computer applications and office equipment. - Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize tasks while meeting multiple deadlines. **Schedule Requirements:** - Regular and sustained attendance is required. This position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after hours. - Availability for on-call work as needed. **Physical Requirements:** - Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly. - Ability to maintain various postures (sitting, standing, walking) for extended periods. - Capable of twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level. - Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity. - May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and varying chemicals. **Additional Information:** The facility reserves the right to cancel three shifts per 13-week contract if necessary due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
