**Job Title: Oncology Nurse** **Shift:** Day Shift (8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.) **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Nurse to provide and supervise the nursing care of patients under the guidance of a medical oncologist. This role involves coordinating care planning with other caregivers and adhering to universal precautions while maintaining high standards of infection control. The Oncology Nurse will work independently, demonstrating exceptional patient care and nursing skills. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Deliver direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a compassionate and professional manner. 2. Accurately take and record vital signs and other measurements. 3. Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate treatment. 4. Administer prescribed medications as per treatment protocols. 5. Exhibit leadership while collaborating with other caregivers on the unit. **Qualifications:** 1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a current Ohio RN License. 2. CPR certification required within 30 days of employment. 3. Previous experience in oncology nursing preferred. 4. Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate moderately complex information to hospital staff. 5. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on observing, assessing, and guiding others. 7. Proficient in reading, calculating, and preparing medications while monitoring for any adverse reactions. **Additional Information:** - The facility reserves the right to adjust hours as needed, with a potential cancellation of up to 36 hours per 13-week contract.
