**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery** **Shift: Nights (19:00-07:00)** **Location: 48+ miles from facility required** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This is a night shift position that involves caring for patients through the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients. - Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to plan for safe delivery of care. - Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training. - Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff. - Supervise and provide direction to staff in delivering patient care. - Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures. - Float to the nursery and postpartum units as needed. **Qualifications:** - Active TN state nursing license required. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. - BLS and ACLS certification required (ARC or AHA accepted). - NRP certification preferred (must obtain within 6 months). - Fetal monitoring certification preferred (must obtain within 6 months). - Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner. - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 2:1. - Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit. **Additional Information:** - This position requires submission of the home address and SSN with your application. - Travelers must be located a minimum of 50 miles from the facility.
