**Job Description: Mammography Technologist** **Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing high-quality mammography services in an outpatient breast center. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a daily caseload of 15-20 mammograms. There are no weekend requirements or on-call duties in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms with exceptional skill and accuracy. - Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. - Participate in continuous professional development and education related to mammography. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. - Valid South Carolina state license and current certifications, including BLS and ARRT (M). - Experience with Hologic imaging equipment is preferred. - Additional skills in stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasounds, and ultrasound biopsies will be advantageous but are not mandatory. **Physical Requirements:** - Radiation badge will be required, and it must be provided by the employee or agency, as the facility does not supply them. **Work Environment:** - Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital featuring a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere. - Opportunity for professional growth and development within the field of breast health. **Miscellaneous:** - All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.
