**Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist Lead** **Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday** **Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist Lead to oversee the quality of care provided by cardiovascular technologists in our cardiac catheterization laboratory. In this vital role, you will collaborate with cardiologists to ensure the safety and comfort of patients undergoing complex cardiovascular diagnostic procedures. **Responsibilities:** - Coordinate daily activities of all cardiovascular technologists (CVTs) within the department. - Assist in formulating clinical policies and procedures related to the cardiac catheterization lab. - Manage daily supply and charge reconciliation, ensuring that inventory levels remain adequate. - Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standards set by regulatory agencies. - Prepare the cardiac cath lab, compiling patient information, paperwork, and charges. - Maintain effective communication with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns while ensuring dignity and confidentiality. - Assist physicians during procedures by preparing supplies and maintaining a sterile field. - Validate patient information and ensure proper consent forms are completed prior to procedures. - Operate and troubleshoot electronic monitoring and angiographic equipment competently. - Schedule patients for procedures and ensure all necessary supplies and prior films are available. - Maintain and manage physiologic and hemodynamic equipment. - Utilize clinical knowledge to address potential patient problems and emergencies. - Perform assigned patient care responsibilities that meet distinctive physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs. - Respond to on-call duties with a required onsite response time of 30 minutes. - Be flexible to work overtime with limited notice and perform additional duties as assigned. **Requirements:** - High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Associate degree program. - Minimum three (3) years of experience with cardiac catheterization procedures; lead/supervisory experience preferred. - Medical Radiologist Technologist (MRT) credentials through the Texas Medical Board and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. - Registry from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS or RCES) required. - BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA only). **Work Schedule:** This is a full-time position requiring 5 days at 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. **General Comments:** Experience with acute/critical patients is preferred.
