**Job Title: Med Surg RN - Diabetic Renal Unit (12-Hour Days)** **Position Overview:** We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team in the Diabetic Renal Unit (DRMU) for a 12-hour day shift. This role is ideal for individuals looking for a one-assignment commitment with a dynamic healthcare environment. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty and a valid Virginia or Compact License at the time of submission. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg DRMU. - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes. - Assist in the orientation and training of new hires and students, fostering a supportive learning environment. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. - Participate in patient education initiatives to empower individuals and families in managing their health. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med Surg or related specialty. - Current BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred. - Travel experience is mandatory; previous experience in a teaching hospital or charge nursing is a plus. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and staff. - Must be flexible and willing to commit to 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs. **Work Schedule:** - 12-hour Day shifts. - Orientation takes place every other Monday, with assignments concluding on Saturdays. - Availability for limited scheduled time off (RTO) must be provided at the time of submission. - This position may involve patient census fluctuations, with the potential for client-initiated cancellations up to 36 hours before an assignment. **Additional Information:** - Float requirement: None; you will primarily work in the designated unit. - This is a local opportunity, and all local applicants are welcome. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
