**Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Full Time (40 hours/week)** **Location:** New York **Contract Duration:** 20 to 26 Weeks **Job Description:** We are seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a full-time position, offering a 20 to 26-week contract. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a long-term care environment. This role includes direct and indirect patient care, ensuring adherence to established nursing standards and protocols. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct skilled nursing care to assigned residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). - Continuously assess and collect relevant data related to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions, and communicate findings to the RN and interdisciplinary team members. - Collaborate to develop and update individualized care plans that reflect the unique needs of residents, incorporating feedback from residents and families. - Participate in the mentoring and orientation of new nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to the development of a healthy, safe, and culturally appropriate environment for residents. - Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practices through ongoing education and in-service training. - Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and healthcare team members. **Qualifications:** - Valid LPN licensure in New York. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI. - Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a long-term care facility. - Demonstrated ability to deliver developmentally appropriate care for adult and geriatric populations. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centered care. **Benefits:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
