**Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)** **Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night shift position in a fast-paced, high-volume Level I Trauma Center. This contract position requires the ability to manage a variety of critical situations and patient care responsibilities in both adult and pediatric emergency scenarios. The ideal candidate should have prior trauma experience and the necessary certifications to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. **Shift Details:** - Shift Type: Night, 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Weekend Requirements: Must be available to work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide professional nursing care to patients in the emergency department. - Assess, interpret, and manage patient conditions, focusing on potential dysrhythmias. - Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and policies. - Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of Level I Trauma experience required; will consider 1.5 years with all other skills. - Current state nursing license (active by start date) and required certifications, including: - ACLS - BCLS by AHA - PALS - TNCC - ENPC - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - EPIC charting experience preferred. **Desired Skills:** - Strong ability to manage dysrhythmias and provide continuous IV sedation as necessary. - Triage experience is a plus. - Flexibility to float to the Pediatric Emergency Department if required. **Unit Details:** - Daily census of approximately 250 patients. - Staffing ratios of 1:5-6; may increase depending on patient volume, particularly during holidays. - Interdisciplinary support teams available for enhanced patient care. **Additional Information:** - Traveler must agree to work 2 of 3 major holidays and acknowledge the high patient ratio environment. - Pre-approved time-off must be submitted at the time of application. **Join Our Team:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
