**Job Title: Medical Surgical Nurse (Night Shift)** **Location:** Springfield, TN **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Unit:** MS2 & MS3 **Number of Beds:** 27 per floor **Patient Ratios:** 5:1 **Job Description:** We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Surgical Nurses to join our healthcare team for night shifts in a dynamic and supportive hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing with experience in post-operative care, particularly in orthopedic patients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on excellent patient experiences. - Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs using state-of-the-art Welch Allen vital sign machines. - Document patient information accurately using Medhost, transitioning soon to Meditech. - Perform blood transfusions, and IV and central line maintenance according to established protocols. - Collaborate with unit secretaries and healthcare technicians to ensure optimal patient care during all shifts. **Qualifications:** - Must possess Basic Med/Surg experience and familiarity with post-operative orthopedic patients. - Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory. - Ability to float between MS2 and MS3 as needed. **Working Conditions:** - Full-time commitment of 3 days a week with every other weekend required. - Access to new equipment, including computer on wheels and upgraded vital sign machines, enhancing both staff efficiency and patient care. **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Dark blue scrubs. **Why Join Us:** - Be part of a dedicated team utilizing advanced technology and equipment. - Opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive environment. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
