**Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Ortho** **Shift:** 7A - 7P **Contract Length:** 91 weeks **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Job Description:** We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Med/Surg/Ortho to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment with diverse patient populations. As a Travel RN, you will work primarily in medical/surgical and orthopedic units, where you will assess patients, develop care plans, and implement appropriate nursing interventions while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and effective patient care. - Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to meet changing patient needs. - Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions. - Float to various inpatient Med/Tele and Rehabilitation units as needed. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Meditech EMR. **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 345 - **Staffing:** Day shift RNs and CNAs on most units, with night shift staff also available. - **Patient Ratios:** 1:5, varying by unit. - **Types of Staff:** Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters. - **Equipment:** Various patient care equipment in use, alongside a robust EMR system (Meditech). **Qualifications:** - Must possess a valid RN license. - Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory. - Minimum of 2 years of strong telemetry experience required. - Oncology experience and/or Chemo Certification is a plus. - Must exhibit flexibility, teamwork, and a compassionate nature towards patients and colleagues. **Best Personality Fit:** - A flexible and adaptable attitude to manage varying patient care needs. - A team player who values collaboration and communicates effectively. - A passion for learning and caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health issues. **Join our team today and be a crucial part of a supportive healthcare environment that values collaboration and compassion!** --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
