**Job Title: Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift: 10-Hour Rotating Shifts** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a rewarding position with a large teaching hospital. This role entails performing both scrub and circulating duties in various surgical disciplines including orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality patient care in the surgical environment. - Assist in the preparation and management of surgical procedures. - Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists. - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment. - Monitor patients pre and post-operation to ensure proper recovery. **Requirements:** - Current BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized teaching facility or a strong background in surgical nursing. - Experience in both scrub and circulate roles is essential; please include relevant skill checklists in your application. - Proficiency in using Epic EMR systems within the last 2 years is non-negotiable. - Must demonstrate a solid knowledge base in a variety of surgical specialties. **Additional Qualifications:** - Flexibility to participate in call and weekend rotations; potential floating to different campuses may be required. - Reliable personal transportation is essential as public transportation is not accessible in this area. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires for inclement weather, particularly from November to April. - Submission of full employment history, including bed count and facility types, is required for consideration. **Additional Information:** - This position is for a contract duration of 28 weeks with guaranteed hours. - There are no block schedules and the facility requires transparency about employment gaps exceeding 90 days. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
